Ice Cream Maker Frozé



You guys!  We made a video!  It’s a little awkward and there’s sound in the background and lots of jumpy edits, but we had so much fun making it!  And hey, if anyone wants to give us video editing lessons, we would really like that.

What was the topic for our inaugural Little Things video?  Frozé?  Oh, you betcha’.  We know that summer’s coming to a sad end, but we want to squeeze every last slushie-filled drop out of it and we want you guys to join us.  This recipe is so easy and so good.  We based it off of Bon Appetit’s recipe, which you can find here.

Anyway, enough chitchat, let’s get to the video!

Ice Cream Maker Frozé   (makes about 6 servings)


  • 1 bottle rosé (not too sweet!)
  • 1 oz. St. Germain
  • 1/2 sugar
  • 1/2 water
  • 8 oz hulled strawberries
  • 2 1/2 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 c. ice
  • To make:

Add sugar and water to a pan and bring to a boil.  Remove from heat and add strawberries.  Let sit for 30 minutes.  Strain through a fine mesh sieve to reserve syrup.  Combine syrup, lemon juice, rosé, and ice in a blender and blend until combined and ice is thoroughly crushed.  Pour into chilled ice cream maker, turn on, and wait for frozé perfection!
