Being Southern California girls we have a soft spot in our hearts for Palm Springs and the whimsical retro-inspired feel of the place set against a stunning desert backdrop. So when we were looking for the perfect girls weekend-getaway (in the middle of winter), this seemed like the perfect choice. With just a few days to explore, here were some of our favorite spots:
Koffi in the morning (There are multiple locations all over Palm Springs, but if you happen to be staying at the Ace Hotel, then you’ve lucked out because there’s one across the street.)
King’s Highway for burgers (Located in Ace Hotel). While this restaurant has a lot of amazing options on the menu, sometimes you just need a really good burger and this place fits the bill.
Ace Hotel – Hip and full of cool details all over. (And the Moroccan robes provided in all the rooms are wonderful). You will definitely want to spend some time walking around the whole site and taking in all the little details. Then take a few hours in the afternoon to lounge by the pool at the swim club and soak in some sun.
Cheeky’s for eggs benedict and chilaquiles and BLOODY MARYS IN BOOTS.
The Saguaro is colorful and fun and worth a stay. Also, the hotel restaurant Tinto, which is a homage to Spanish tapas is a MUST stop.
Farm Cafe is a quaint little french restaurant located downtown that feels like you’ve found your own peaceful hideaway. The food is all amazing and the prices are super affordable. Sit inside by the fireplace or outside under the trellis and the blooming bougainvillea.
On your way out of town, make sure to stop at the Cabazon Dinosaurs and take lots of pictures! There’s a museum on the site or you can stand under the T-Rex and make scary faces for the camera.

Workshop Kitchen + Bar for steaks (Uber sleek and hip. Be prepared- no Palm Springs kitsch here.)
Downtown is worth walking around and grabbing a picture with Marilyn Monroe.

I just cruised by there the other day on my way to Bermuda Dunes. Lots of cool lil’ spots in town. Those bloody mary looking drinks look good!
They were so good! You’ve got to stop at Cheeky’s next time!
Wow, this looks like a beautiful vacation.. especially for an all girl’s weekend! Thanks for sharing some of that warm sun 🙂

Great photos! I’ve never been there, but it looks like you all had a great time. It seems like a very special place!
