We love the simplicity and winter-ness of this diy advent calendar. Not only is it exciting to open so many gifts, but this makes a beautiful decoration in your home. It felt odd making an advent calendar in November before Thanksgiving even happened, but we can’t deny that it got us in the holiday spirit. We used materials that we had lying around the house, which was a bonus. Depending on who you’re making the calendar for, you can pick the fillings. A simple, one-stop-shop option it to fill each day with a new See’s candy (who doesn’t like chocolate?!)
ingredients:
evergreen branch
twine
paper grocery bags
small lunch sacks
tape
scissors
25 wonderful little gifts
Wrap each present and number 1-25. (We turned paper grocery bags inside out and wrapped our presents with that.) Tie to the branch with twine at different levels and hang up!
This is such a great idea! I’ll have to keep it in mind for next year! 🙂
